System Impact

I am directing and producing a documentary about five female activists who are making their way in life as community leaders after spending more than a life sentence locked away in a broken criminal justice system. Will any of the leaders run for political office?

#TheRealAdam

I story produced and co-directed a documentary about an international cybercriminal who defrauded Flynn Adams and Brian Austin Green as they were developing anti-bullying software. They never imagined the man they hired to stop the bullying, would bully them. Worse, however, was uncovering the devastating layers of criminality and the limitations of law enforcement when it comes to resolving cybercrime.

Visionarios

I story and field produced the 12-episode documentary series, with Mexico City-based production house, Grupo Sentido for Televisa. The show, about Mexico’s most prized living photographers, aired for Foro TV a number of times during the 2020 global pandemic.

Don’t Silence Me

I co-produced the music video and a live screening event for the song “Don’t Silence Me,” written and performed by UK singer/songwriter, Sadie Jemmett. Sadie wrote the song to honor actress, Mhairi Morrison, and those whose lives have been elevated by the community support the #metoo movement garners.

Let’s Get To Cookin’

I co-directed and co-produced the pilot episode of the web series, “Let’s Get to Cookin” starring singer/songwriter, LaTina Webb.

16 Women & Donald Trump

As a producer, I was responsible for reaching out and connecting with the 16 brave women who accused Donald Trump of sexual misconduct. I was the first journalist to bring the women together as a unified force much to Megyn Kelly’s booking producer’s dismay and own failings to connect with the women.

Trauma at the Border

I field and story produced this short. It is about the psychological effects and permanent trauma that separating children from their parents does under the inhumane and illegal law enforcement practices perpetrated on families crossing the border in hopes of gaining refugee status.

Sentencing Reform: Drug Addiction

I led on pre production, casting and followed with story production for this documentary short about the impact of drug related incarcerations and the need for sentencing reform and alternative methods for battling drug addiction.

Healing Trauma: Beyond Gangs and Prisons

I led on the casting and then field and story production of this documentary that follows the lives of several Homeboy and Homegirl clients who were formerly incarcerated and/or had spent time in/or associated with gang life. Their healing and evolved EQ are an inspiration for everyone in touch with their empathy and the idea that none of us have to be defined by the worst thing we have done.

California’s Punishment Economy

I story produced, researched, managed the animation and voiceover talent for this documentary short that breaks down the devastating cost California dedicates to incarcerating men, women, and children.
